Soap bubble

Posted by
dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 26 February 2019 in Miscellaneous.

Just playing around with some soap mixture and a bubble-blowing wand. Ye, I know I'm seventy-one but they are still beautiful! Taken outside on our old patio so if you look closely you can see the photographer plus a selection of patio chairs and plants. Not the most exciting of images, but I love the colours!

ah yes the old bubble selfie ShoT. I have never seen a bubble blowing wand before. It's always a ring here. It looks more like a bubble burster so a bit of a mystery. I'm also amazed by the dense blackness of the back of your patio. Time to take the judges advice and paint it blue :) Seriously though a nice still life capture

@grouser: The black background was actually a very deep dark green! It was the patio blind that had been drawn. Was just so far away from the object that it came out black!

I like the concept. I like how you experiment with photography and results are superb. One day I might take up similar challenges but I am into my landscapes and cityscapes too much right now (with very limited time for photography available).

@Darkelf Photography: Thanks Maciek - appreciated. Sometimes I look at the specialists (like yourself), and think that it would be nice to have a niche. But I have always been a "Jack of all trades, master of none" sort of guy. Even during my working life, I was always happiest when in a general manager type of role. So for me, joining a photographic club, and being almost forced to try new things because of the different challenges each month, was a dream come true. Only problem is that I don't now have a speciality, and my camera is very seldom not by my side, so anything that looks mildly interesting now finds itself on my sensor! But thank goodness we are all different!
