This shot was taken along one of our major routes heading up to the North-West and Namibia. I was trying to get a panned shot of moving traffic and the truck came hurtling past just as I pressed the shutter. I really love the shot - the judge not as much as I did! - but for me it's very different and still demonstrates the panning technique.

Certainly an interesting effect. I think it would have been even better if you caught the truck on the lane behind perfectly in the gap so it was fully visible. By that would have been extremely hard to achieve with fast moving traffic.
