This was taken at one of our latest markets, the Elgin Railway Market. The train itself belongs to the Ceres Rail Company, which owns a few of these beautiful vintage machines. We haven't done the trip yet, though hopefully it won't be too long before we take the plunge. the train leaves Cape Town at 08h00 in the morning and then takes an incredibly scenic route though the suburbs and mountains, eventually ending up in Elgin approximately three hours later. Passengers can browse the marketplace, taste and/or buy wines, and enjoy a lunch from a variety of vendors, before returning to Cape Town at approximately 14h00. A trip conceived in heaven!
