This week I will be featuring the 4 images I entered for our Photographic Society's June meeting. The set subject topic was "Macro/Close up", and then there is an open section. One is allowed to enter two images into each category. My first set subject entry was this macro (a stack of 8 images) of a most unusual flower found on some of the shrubs that have been planted in our complex. I have not yet been able to find out the name of the shrub, so if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Anyway, I expected the image to do really well, but it only scored a "Silver". One of the reasons is that the judge does not like images with black backgrounds. And though a personal like/dislike should not feature when judging the quality of an image, it seems like it did for a number of images viewed during the evening. Or maybe it is just an average image! But I like it a lot!
