100mm Macro ii - Paperback pages

Posted by
dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 18 June 2009 in Business & Industry and Portfolio.

The second in a very short series (final tomorrow) of different photos taken with my new macro lens. I was just taking random shots to test the lens, and to my delight this one came up showing the wonderful texture of the pages.

My sincerest thanks to all of you who took the trouble to comment on yesterday's post. It really means so much. You folk (and this Am3 community in general) are just awesome, and it's very special to be a part of it all!

such details !! did you bother taking the same picture with the other lens to spot the difference ?

@Veronique: Hi Veronique - no - I traded in my old lens on the new one. But there's no difference in quality - the 60mm is a superb lens. I just find that being able to photograph the subject from a little further away makes life a real lot easier, especially when one is moving tripods around to get optimum focusing distance.

I am saving up for a new lens. Unfortunately, I keep going on trips and spending the savings.
This certainly is a wonderful shot. Very crisp and I like the way the light is flooding in.
