It's a gas! gas! gas!

Posted by
dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 5 January 2009 in Transportation.

Taken from Three Anchor Bay, just outside Cape Town. One of the numerous ships transporting liquefied natural gas around the world. The totally unconcerned seagull adds a little extra interest to an otherwise fairly common sight in the area.

Title from the lyrics in the song "Jumpin' Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones

What an amazing expression from the gull, he almost looks contemplative. A terrific image, vibrant and superbly observed

A certain sadness about this . . but you can sure the gulls will still be here after we and our gas are all gone !

Super picture Rob, very well composed to include the gull. Nice bright clear image.

Man and nature together. Are they living in harmony together? From the expression of the sea gull, I think he is immune to man in this scene.
