My second entry in February for the "Table top/Still life" club competition. I have a couple of friends who collected wine bottle corks, both collections being really something. But today, unless you are a red wine drinker, that hobby is a thing of the past. So I decided quite some time ago to start a collection for this shot. Wit the help of a couple of waitrons and my trusty wife, it did not take too long to put this collection together! My original idea was to call it "Evolution of a wine bottle cork collector", and I'm still not sure which title I prefer.

This is another beautiful arrangement. The composition, light and colours are all excellent with both titles suiting the photo nicely.

@Darkelf Photography: Thanks Maciek - biggest problem was that it took me ages to get the lighting right! And in that time the wine glass developed the condensation bubbles, making it look like a champagne, rather than a sauvignon blanc!

Amazing colors and composition.

It would have been good to have had a glass or two from the bottles that collection came from. Well done.
