Thorns

Now how's that for an original and unique title? Apart from the fact that I am struggling with having photos to post at the moment (the cupboard is very bare), I had the added problem of being faced with a blue screen computer. I was going to take a walk around and see what I could find to shoot, but getting back online assumed centre stage, and I eventually tracked the problem down to a faulty memory board. But it took a while and left no time for the planned walk about, so I am posting this very simple shot of a branch of a thorn bush - one of my absolute favourite plants, even though we don't have any at home.

All comments, and especially constructive criticism is truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time.

nice shot of this thorny subject. I think putting something in the background will make this more interesting, the background you used here is a little too plain. just my 2 cents :)

@shoti: Hi Shoti - thanks for taking the time to comment. For me the plain background makes the thorns stand out (the background is a plain wall, by the way), and I don't know whether the subject is strong enough to compete with a stronger background, but I will revisit the shot soon and have a look at what you suggest.
