Vineyard Hotel i - Autumn collection

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 14 May 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

A few weeks ago, Jacqui and I were treated by two very close friends to a delicious lunch at the Vineyard Hotel. It's in Newlands, a suburb of Cape Town that enjoys an abundance of rain, being situated alongside Table Mountain. This is the first in a short series of photos taken in the grounds of this magnificent hotel.
The Liesbeeck River runs through these gardens, and there are a number of little walls that can be found at various points along the river. These walls catch the fallen leaves - some old, and some very new, from the numerous surrounding trees. I really liked the collection of different colours, and thought this natural display of them to be very special indeed.

All comments, and especially constructive criticism is truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time.
