Durbanville Hills Selection - vii (final)

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 1 May 2009 in Business & Industry and Portfolio.

This is my absolute favourite shot of the series, so I have kept it till last. Once again, the camera has produced a slightly different image to what my eye remembered at the time of taking. This photo has come out with (I think) the most wonderful warm tones, in spite of the fact that the tanks are a bright stainless steel! It's probably because the photo was taken in a darkish area, with flash, and the colour from the floor has reflected up onto the tanks.
Again, the patterns dissolving into the darkness really appeal to me (you will have gathered that I have a thing about patterns!).
Thank you all for your comments on the series - I certainly have enjoyed posting the photos.
I would like to finish off by thanking Martin Moore, the Cellar Master at Durbanville Hills, for allowing me the freedom of his facility, and also Laura, the lovely lady who gave Jacqui and me the guided tour - you guys ROCK, and so does you winery!
Finally - I wish everyone out there the most fabulous of weekends. Take care, and see you all on Monday with a new and very different series.

All comments, and especially constructive criticism is truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time.
