I'm alive

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 18 March 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

A couple of days ago, Jacqui and I went out for a walk on the beach about half an hour before sunrise. There was quite a lot of mist about, but very little wind - an absolutely glorious morning. When we got back I went to fetch my camera and returned to the beach to take some photos. Three of which will be posted today, tomorrow, and Friday - I hope you enjoy.
This first one is just one of the many beach plants that seem to survive no matter what - there has been no rain recently and there's no water close by (apart from the sea of course, but that's a good 100 metres away). Nature again at her best - giving us such a beautiful plant with so much character, in a place where we would least expect it.
