Made my day

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 29 January 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Well, actually, this was just one of the many highlights of the day walking around the Durbanville Nature Reserve. I found this along one of the paths on my way back to the parking area, and it just stood out. The bush is a wild rosemary, and produces a tiny flower that eventually ends up looking like a bit of cotton wool - used by many of the birds in the area to line their nests. This little fella just stood out - looked to me just like a white Scottish terrier (Yeah - Ok - I know I need to stop these early morning sherries!), and really helped make my day.
