Windy

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 19 January 2009 in Business & Industry.

Our winds at the moment are around 35-40 kilometres per hour. I have been trying to capture motion for a while, and this shot for me worked out reasonably well. I normally shoot with aperture mode as my preference, and now using shutter speed for this type of situation instead is proving quite informative.

Hope you had a nice weekend Rob:-)
Nice shot here, I like the movement with the slight blurr with the rest of the image so crisp and clear!!

Great to take up a little challenge like this and crack it ! And, yes, shutter-priority would be the route now you make me think about it. Perfect motion.

I like the texture and B&W tone on this image - I think you captured the motion nicely as well

Great shot, like how you've frozen the action. Snap, also have a windmill today :)

i like the general feel of the picture but its too flat i think?

there is no real focal point and i find my eyes running around the picture too much...

but all in all, a great capture of a rustic wind 'thing' haha sorry don't know what its called...

@Lomantik: Thanks for your constructive remarks - much appreciated.
