Different seasons

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 14 January 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

We came back home today after spending some time at our flat, and when I opened our little bar fridge to check stocks, saw that it was in serious need of a defrosting. So I scraped quite a lot of the excess ice into a bucket and then emptied it outside. It landed in spot that was partly in, partly out of the sun, and looked so striking, I immediately thought of all the folk who are posting photos of ice and snow, and how contrasting that is to what we are experiencing here right now. So - went and found the best of the last of our summer nasturtiums and stuck it in the ice, and this is the result. Different seasons bring us different treasures.
