C Moon

I'm sure there will be many photos of this scene from around the world today. This was what it looked like from Cape Town at about 21h00. The crescent moon, and our two brightest planets, Venus and Jupiter.
My thanks for the phone calls from Clive and Alf, and the sms from Colette - if it wasn't for them thinking of me I would have missed it.

That is a great shot Rob. As I was driving home last night, that's exactly what I saw and I was thinking about going out later that night and take few shots, but then the cold made the decision for me.... I stayed inside.

Beautiful capture, I did see them last night and snap a few shots, but havent checked them as yet, but from the previews on camera I wasnt to happy, and clouds kept moving in and out for covering them, so i am really glad you caught them so well and shared with us

Despite all we know about the mechanics of this, it still looks kinda mystical. Reminds me of when I was first shown the moons of Jupiter thru a simple telescope . .
