It's the season

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 6 October 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

A beautiful Sunday - warm and bright, and maybe Spring is going to force it's way through. There are still one or two mountain peaks with a smattering of snow at the very tops, but maybe, just maybe, the sandals might come out of the closet soon.
I took my camera with me on my evening walk today, and came across this thorn tree, backlit by the fading sun. The colours to me make me think more of autumn, even though it's spring, so I thought it was worth a shot.
Anyway, it's been a beautiful day, and the song came to mind, especially this verse:
There's a reason for the sunshining sky,
and there's a reason why I'm feeling so high,
must be season when that love light shines all around us

Words by Larry E Williams, and sung by The Bellamy Brothers
