What a difference a day makes

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 1 October 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Normally our beach at Melkbos is quite clean and flat. We woke up one morning after some stormy weather and I could see that things were remarkably different from the day before. Walked down to the beach and found that thousands of empty mussel shells, black and white, had been washed up onto the shore. Here are some of them, with Table Mountain in the distance.
Title from the song by Maria Grever & Stanley Adams, and amongst others, done proud by Jamie Cullum

All comments, and especially constructive criticism is truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time.
