What a wonderful world

Posted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 26 September 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

Another view of the winter vines at the Meerendal Wine Estate. Hopefully Sauvignon Blanc, 2009 vintage!
This was one of those special days, with the clouds rolling in to bring rain again a little later, but with the sun shining through and lighting up areas intermittently. I love the different colours - the dormant vines and vegetation between the vines, with the lush green of the weeds and indigenous plants in the foreground (and top left) brought about by the fine rains we have had. Makes one realise just how beautiful nature really is.
Title inspired by the song written by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss and made famous by the great Louis Armstrong
