I've got you under my skin

Believe it or not, a shot also taken while watching the air show on Saturday. There was a lull before the next event, and I was sitting on the embankment looking around and saw these plants (weeds as I know them) They brought back memories, as we don't really get them where we live now, so - snap!
One of the dogs Jacqui and I have owned was a very special Golden Retriever. When we took him for walks in our then suburb of Pinelands, these weeds were everywhere. The sharp section at the top used to get into his skin from in-between the toes and gradually work its way up his legs, eventually exiting at the elbow! They used to cause discomfort only when close to the elbow, when he would start licking the area around the elbow, trying to extricate them. So we would check his paws regularly, but even so once or twice a year this would happen.
After downloading the photo, I quite liked it just as it was taken, and so here it is.
Title inspired by the song by Cole Porter, probably made universally popular by Frank Sinatra
