The second shot in the incredible tale of the life of our pincushion protea. Here the pins are starting to open nicely - I have no idea how long it will be before they are all fully open, but am really looking forward to that day. This photo was taken at around mid-day, and I used a big black sheet of paper as a background to bring out the colour in the flower. No colour enhancements have been made.
