August 2008 Day Trip iv

This is the view as you come from the Malmesbury side about 2 kilometres from the turn off that takes you to Riebeeck Kasteel and Riebeeck West. On the left and right you can see some of the olive orchards for which the region is famous, and in the foreground one can also see one of the many dormant vineyards that produce some of our country's best Shiraz. There was just a tiny bit of snow on the mountains, but the few peaks that had some snow unfortunately didn't feature in this particular compilation.
