PincushionPosted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 26 August 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. This is a close up of a four-month old bud from one of our beautiful species of Protea. I planted this particular plant in a pot, and I'm very happy to say that it is doing extremely well. The flowers should open fully sometime later next month - I can't wait! There are many varieties of Protea, the major one being the Giant or King Protea, which in fact is South Africa's national flower. All comments, and especially constructive criticism is truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time. All Rights Reserved © Rob Minter
