Prince Henry the NavigatorPosted by dobbino (Cape Town, South Africa) on 22 August 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. Prince Henry the Navigator, figurehead of the Portuguese sailing ship that recently visited Cape Town, was the third son of King Joao 1. By virtue of his lifetime action and role played, he has set himself as the major driver of the Portuguese discoveries and expansion. He died at Sagres, at the age of 66 in 1460. Not the happiest character I have seen, but there you go. All comments, and especially constructive criticism is truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time.
