Different Nandine, same garden, later in the life of this beautiful plant. Exquisite autumn colours. One of my early shots with my 60mm Macro lens - lovely blurred background, but for me not enough of the main image in focus, even though there is soemthing about the image that really appeals to me. Very much taken in the early learning curve with this lens. Handheld shot - whereas now I would probably go f/8 and use a tripod.

Your comments are most welcome, especially the ones with constructive criticism. I love this hobby, but know that I have so much still to learn. If you can help with any suggestions that would improve anything about the images, I would be most grateful. Thank you.
Goodness! What vibrant colours! Very much alive, and it just jumps out at you. I can see the slight blurring of the leaf, but I am sure you will improve as you go along. Well done!

Perfect title, Rob ... this is, indeed the nandine that I know and love. I hear you about the learning curve with the lens ... we learn by doing – they call that on the job training, don't they!

Beautiful colors and a great capture! Who says everything must be in focus... I like it like it is! Nice one Rob!
